Surya is currently donning the lead role in a film titled Anjaan directed by Lingusamy. The shooting of this film has been completed. Only one song sequence is remaining to be shot.
After Anjaan, Surya will be donning the lead role in a film to be directed by Venkat Prabhu. Initially ShruthiHaasan was approached for the female lead role. Since Shruthi is busy acting Poojai directed by Hari, she was not able to spare her dates.
Now it is understood that Nayanthara will be donning the female lead role in this film. Nayanthara had already paired with Surya in Ghajini and also in the film Aadhavan directed by K S Ravikumar.
