Following news that director Colin Trevorrow has already been part of the planning of more sequels in the Jurassic Park franchise to follow next summer's pseudo franchise reboot Jurassic World, we have the first official photos from the tropical set on location in Hawaii. Production began on April 14th, so we don't have any shots of the dinosaurs, but we do get a glimpse of Bryce Dallas Howard shooting a scene. She's dressed pretty fancy, and judging from the room, it seems like she might be the new John Hammond, behind the scenes of the operational dinosaur theme park we saw in some concept art recently. There's also a look at Isla Nublar and one of the park's new vehicles that has some damage, likely from a dinosaur. Look!
Here's the first photos from the set of Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World from EW
Jurassic World is directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), who rewrote the script with Derek Connolly from an earlier draft by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes). No plot details are available yet, but the film has been said to feature a new operational dinosaur theme park, just as John Hammond imagined over 20 years ago. The cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan and B.D. Wong, reprising his original role from Jurassic Park. Universal Pictures releases the film June 12th, 2015
