After nearly getting lost in space in last year's Best Picture nominee Gravity, it sounds like Sandra Bullock is getting a little more down to Earth for her next role. THR reports the Oscar winner is currently circling an untitled adaptation of Tupperware Unsealed, a book by Bob Kealing based on the true story of of Earl Silas Tupper's trademarked housewares skyrocketed into fame in the 1950s when sales executive Brownie Wise came up with Tupperware parties. Wise's exploits turned her into a popular figure, with parties sweeping the nation, and landed on the front of Business Week, the first woman to grace the cover.
The Help director Tate Taylor is currently attached to direct, and he also wrote the script. However, producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV are currently shopping around the project to studios, so it doesn't yet have distribution. The company has a deal at Disney, so that's likely the first place the pitch will go off, but we'll see where the project ends up. Bullock isn't formally attached, though she's certainly interested in the role, so someone else could just as easily take the part. Sounds like it could be a fun film akin to Flash of Genius with Greg Kinnear.
