It seems to be the period of ‘bans’ in Telugu film industry. Close on the heels of speculations that actor Prakash Raj will be banned owing to his alleged usage of abusive language on the sets of Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Aagadu’ now sources in the know in Tollywood industry say that a ban may likely be sought on Nayanthara also.
As we all know Nayanthara has acted in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake of critically acclaimed Bollywood film ‘Kahani.’ Nayanthara had reprised the role played by Vidya Balan in the original.
The Tamil version titled as ‘Nee Enge En Anbe’ and Telugu version titled as ‘Anamika’ both directed by National award winning director Sekhar Kammula will be hitting the screens on May 1.
Nayanthara did not take part in the audio launch of ‘Anamika’ that was held recently even after the posters regarding her participation were posted across Hyderabad with much frenzy. This has upset the film’s producers who are planning to lodge a complaint against the actress seeking a ban on her for not taking part in the promotions of their film.
Other sources reveal that Nayanthara has explained the reason for not attending the audio launch will join the promotions in a couple of days and that will stop the producers from taking any action against her.
