As of now, we've only seen one trailer for Marvel's cosmic assembly of heroes in Guardians of the Galaxy, but once the blockbuster summer kicks into full gear, we'll be bound to see a full theatrical trailer at some point. In the meantime, why not check out a brief new featurette that aired during last night's episode of Marvel's series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which has been shaken up quite a bit since Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theaters. There's some brief bits of new footage, including Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket Racoon and Groot, and it's a short but sweet look behind the scenes.
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super). Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand. The Marvel Studios film arrives in theaters August 1st, 2014.
