If you haven't yet taken the time to see The Raid: Redemption, you're missing out on one of the greatest action films of the past decade. And if you haven't seen that film, then there's a good chance you're currently missing out on the incredible sequel The Raid 2: Berandal, which is playing in theaters everywhere now (though it might have left some theaters after only a week of playing). Director Gareth Evans has plenty of things he needs to teach American action filmmakers, and now he gives us some insight into the action he likes by counting down his five favorite actions scenes, complete with footage and explanations of each.
The Raid 2: Berandal, the sequel to The Raid, is written and directed by Welsh born filmmaker Gareth Evans who also directed the first film. StarringIko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki, the film features our lead character Rama (Uwais) going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. The film premiered at Sundance, and Sony Pictures Classics released it March 28th
