Monty Python Live Reunion Show to Hit Theaters in the United States

Monty Python
As we learned last fall, the surviving members of the legendary comedy troupe Monty Pythonwere reuniting for a series of live shows at London's O2 Arena in July. However, for those who don't live across the pond or couldn't get tickets, you should have no problem seeing this anticipated reunion of some of the greatest minds in comedy history. Picturehouse Entertainment has announced (via Deadline) that they will broadcast the "final reunion, sort of" on July 20th to movie theaters in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Russia and Sweden. That's only one show out of the 10 performances, but that should be enough.
Eric Idle, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Terry Jones are all getting together to perform for the first time in ages. The show was originally planned as a one night only event, but it was expanded when the interest soared through the roof. Titled The Last Night of Monty Python, this should be a stellar show to check out in 450 theaters in the United Kingdom (tickets go on sale tomorrow over there) and 1,500 elsewhere around the world. Once more details about the screenings here in the United States become available, we'll be sure to let you know.
