Kamasutra fame Sherlyn Chopra wants to star in Tamil films

Sherlyn Chopra, the heroine of the yet-to-be-released Hollywood film Kamasutra 3-D, has expressed her desire to star in Tamil films. Sherlyn has reportedly shed lots of her inhibitions and a bit of clothing in many sequences in the film, which is scheduled to be released in May.
The 30-year old actress, who was earlier known as Mona Chopra, had already made her debut in Tamil films when she was just an 18-year old girl. She danced for an ‘item number’ in University which had Jeevan and Gajala in lead roles and released in 2002.
Sherlyn has posted many glam-filled photographs of herself on social networking sites such as Twitter and is one of the most-loved glam-dolls in the country.
Sherlyn was in Chennai recently to promote her upcoming Malayalam film Bad Girl. Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of the event, she said “I have deep respect for film-makers from the South.
I’m aware that film-makers and technicians in Chennai and Hyderabad are extremely talented. I want to play the lead role in at least one Tamil film soon.
“Starring in at least one film by Mani Ratnam has been one of my long-standing desires. I hope it is realized soon,” said Sherlyn. A former ‘Miss Andhra Pradesh’, the picture-perfect Shrerlyn is likely to be signed up by Mani Ratnam in his next Tamil-Telugu venture which is likely to have Nagarjun, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan essaying lead roles.
