Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal – Tamil Movie Review

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi was a dream debut for Udhayanidhi Stalin, a producer who has given many hits under his banner. His first movie was a feel good comedy entertainer.
Now, he is making his comeback with his next outingIdhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, which is releasing today for the Valentine’s Day (February 14).
Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal is a romantic comedy movie.Nayantara, for the first time, is romancing Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also producing the film under his banner Red Giant Films.
The film is directed by SA Prabakaran ofSundarapandian fame. What will the Tamil flick offer our audience? Can the film live up to its hype. Find it in our review…
Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal doesn’t have a great story. Kathirvelan (Udhayanidhi Stalin) is an ardent follower of Lord Hanuman. The real story begins with the arrival on his sister, which is played by Chaya Singh, to his home over some differences with her hubby.
Rating:2.5/5
Udhayanidhi Stalin decides to solve his sister’s marriage issue and travels to Coimbatore. But there are interesting things waiting to happen in his life as he comes across Pavithra played by Nayantara. He likes her very much and falls in love.
Being from a conservative family, how will his father react to their love story? What happens to his loyalty towards Lord Hanuman? Answers to these questions form the crux of the story.
As told before, the storyline of the film is weak. Even the romantic scenes between the lead stars are not well written. Many felt that Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal would be on the lines of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s debut movie Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.
But it is not. Indeed, the latest film comes out as an entertaining film with good things about the values of family.
