It's been awhile since we had a big screen musical that didn't come with a big name cast, and perhaps that's what makes Clint Eastwood's adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musicalJersey Boys so damn interesting. John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen, Vincent Piazza, Michael Lomenda take the lead with Christopher Walken in a supporting role, and as you can see in the first trailer (and the first poster), we're going to get several points-of-view on the story of how Frank Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi became Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, the 60s music sensation. This looks fantastic! Watch!
Clint Eastwood’s big screen version of the Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of the four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic '60s rock group The Four Seasons. Their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the hit songs that influenced a generation, and are now being embraced by a new generation of fans through the stage musical. The story follows Frank Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. Clint Eastwood (of Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Invictus, Hereafter, J. Edgar) is directing with a screenplay by John Logan (Skyfall, Hugo) and Rick Elice & Marshall Brickman. Warner Bros. Picture releases Jersey Boys in theaters on June 20th.
